As soon as the cats decide it's time to nap, I'll be finishing the cardigan for Astra's baby. All I have to do is put it together, weave in the ends and lightly block it. I'm also almost finished the second of this pair of socks, and I hope to get that done later this evening. I've only finished one pair this year so far...sad sad sad.
For dinner tonight I'm making Jamaican Rice and Peas along with some fried plantain and roasted jerk-seasoned chicken legs. I haven't made the rice and peas in ages so I'm really looking forward to it. The beans have soaked and I need about two hours to cook it, so I guess I'll start around 3:30.
More kitty pictures? This way, please.
Right now the cats are dive-bombing each other around me. Cuba wants to wrassle but Jonah isn't in the mood and he thinks it's a nice idea to hide behind my legs. This photo is from a couple of days ago, but the sentiment is the same:

This was also taken a couple of days ago. Cuba doesn't care for any of my yarn or needles unless I am holding them. Or unless she's stoned, apparently.

Previous: Okay, Now I'm Tired
Next: For Sebastian
oh she's done it, she's upped the cute quotient.

jonah has the same "i am ignoring you" (but cute!) stare in every photo. at least luis guzman has some other expressions. jonah really needs to take a step back from the botox.
welcome to our world of being unable to stop posting photos of our cats. it becomes consuming, but so totally satisfying.

I had my baby! Sebastian Abraham Davis Hemming was born at 4:48 this morning, and weighs in at a whopping 10 lbs 7 ounces. It was fairly fast (around 5 hours) but pushing him out was a lot more work (ie. worst pain I have ever experienced) then Ingrid. But, now he is here. His cardigan looks so super-duper cuters. I can't wait to bring him over to meet you and your kitties! Talk to you soon.

I don't know you yet i'm so excited for you! Congrats on your bouncin bundle of joy. Great choice of names.

Happy birthday, Sebastian! I can't wait to meet him, either. 10lbs 7, wow! I am no longer the biggest baby I know...I was 10lbs 4. I'm glad I decided to make a bigger size. 0-3 mos sizes will not fit him; they didn't fit Alex and he was 9 even. Congratulations, Hemmings!

Sandra, I'll have you know that I told Jonah what you said about botox and Luis Guzman and now he's crying.

congrats, astra! and happy birthday, sebastian (lucky to get such a lovely name!)
and as far as jonah is concerned, he can have it out with me when we meet face to face :) besides, cats that are crying are still cute.

Wally told me he totally wants to hump Cuba.
Megan · Feb 23 · 8:41 PM
Well, Cuba is sitting that way because she heard Wally likes it. :D

Dirty cats here.
My men don't hump. They only sleep.
Cute cardi.

That is going to be one smart looking baby... I love the centre front detailing - similar to what I'm making at the moment - but also love the detailing on the chest. Gorgeous colour too!
