Stash Flashing
April 3, 2006 · Stash · Comments (6)

Better late than never but since I hadn't officially joined the Flash your Stash thingy I guess it doesn't matter. I wasn't planning on doing it, but when I saw Chelle's stash displayed on her staircase, I had the urge to go through it all and write down what I had.

In this third photo we have:
White Buffalo Unspun 6-ply (bought WAY too much before I understood yardage - for a coat I will make someday)
Ice Rose - 15

Pengouin Le Yarn 3 (first big yarn purchase - lost interest in the sweater)
Navy Chine - 10 (including the sweater)

Lana Gatto Madeira (half-knit sweater pooled terribly)
Browns - 4

That's all I photographed. It was fucking hard work! I have a bunch more yarn stashed in various other places, but this is the main haul that fills 4 big bins which I hide in my closet. The fifth bin is filled with odds and ends. I also didn't bother with the sock yarn, which really isn't that much. I guess this was all worth it because now I know where everything is and exactly how much of it I've got. Jonah thinks I should get some more.

Oooooh, nice stash! I love the calmer and the yarn that is pooling horribly, certainly looks nice in the skein!

See you at SNB!

I dream of a heaven where the light fluffy clouds are made of skeins of yarn! :)

That's a lot of yarn you've got there. It really makes me want to shop...
Incidentally, when you figure out what you're going to do with your white buffalo, would you tell me? I've got a bunch of grey and I just don't know what to do with it...

yummy yarn! even after moving and reorganizing mine, I still need to take it out and take stock in the laceweight and round up all the leftovers into one bin. good for you for having it so together!

I can't imagine having a stash that large. But every time I see someone's big stash it makes me want to add to mine. Yikes! Good thing I don't have a decent LYS.
