Last Tuesday at SNB I finally finished a pair of socks. The first sock was completed months ago and all I had left on the second was the toe. I'm not thrilled with them because even though I took great pains to match the stripes, my second toe came out differently and this is really, really bugging me. Pictures to come.
I haven't knit a stitch since then because this woman lent Alex this game for his DS and I have been obsessed with it since. There go three days I'll never get back. But I'm almost finished, so last night Jeremy dug the Nintendo 64 out of the basement so we could play this game. Yeah, I'm a sucker for Zelda. I also found out that my sister just bought this game for her Gamecube, so I'll be borrowing that soon and maybe I'll come up for air sometime before Christmas. But then again, that's when this one is going to be released for the Gamecube, so who knows. We may never see each other again.
Rochelle from my SNB had a much more productive weekend than I did. She went on the TTC-Knit-Along and it looks like she had a blast! Great pictures!
Tomorrow is Halloween and it's supposed to rain off and on all day. Which is a real bummer, considering Alex has decided that this is probably his last year trick-or-treating since he's getting too old. He's going to be a pirate and today we're finalizing his costume so he can wear it to school tomorrow. They're having a dance after lunch, and Alex has a date. Suprisingly not shy with the girls, this kid of mine.

i saw alex dance at the wedding - the kid knows how to cut a rug! i guess he gets that from his mom.

I know how you feel about the games. I might not be playing on a gamecube or on the DS but this laptop has seriously cut into my knitting. I expect the same thing will happen when I take the class on spinning. The next TTC Knit A Long will be in May sometime. I'm hoping around my birthday. Maybe you can join us then.

Haa, sucker. Don't forget that The Phantom Hourglass comes out next year, too. Too. Much. Zelda!

Aaah the games. They are fun. We are going trick or treating in Toronto; Sebastian is a bumble bee (oh-my-god-so-cute) and Ingy is a turtle. It will be annoying if it rains, I will cross my fingers and hold my thumbs that it doesn't.
Next week? We didn't have a car on Friday which ruined our visiting plans, we'll see what happens this Friday.

Hey! I was at the TTC event too... so much fun, plus I was the proud recipient of "Best Knitticism". "Elvis" was on my knitting team, good times!
I was also dressed up, but a lot more subtle. My costume was "unravelling sweater" or "unfinished object". All I had to do was hang a matching peice of yarn from the waist. presto!

Not officially, but now that I've visited her blog I remember seeing here there, cute little mini sock and all. I love how small a world this is!
I was on this team: http://unplumbedshallows.blogspot.com/
(note photo of me scaring streetcar riders... and my hands too, I seem to have a dainty pinkie finger out knitting stance)
