I cast on for these socks the other day and they are really short and cute. Once they're done I was thinking of crab-stitching the top, to give it a picot appearance. Picot hems on socks tend to feel very thick to me, so I wanted to try it a different way. The yarn is pretty nice, wouldn't you say?

This is what's left to ply of my second batch of corriedale, which is being immediately knitted into this shawl:

I think it's going to drape really nicely. I just hope I have enough yarn to make it a decent size. I should probably have used a slightly larger needle. Anyway.

What else have I been doing?

A little of this.

And that.

Beautiful! I've been reading your blog for awhile and have never commented, so hello and thanks for the beautiful pics. I especially like the shawl picture. The colors are gorgeous as well as the pattern.

You are so friggin talented, it kills me!

I think you should come to Toronto for one of the Drunken Knitter meetups! We meet the 2nd Friday of each month, normally at the Spotted Dick (Bloor, near Church).

Just to clear up...the yarn in pictures 1, 4, 5 and 6 is NOT my handspun...it's millspun yarn I've been dyeing. Also, in the handspun basket there are a couple of skeins of Koigu and Sea Silk. I just realized I was totally giving the wrong idea. I'm so sorry!

whatever, you are still pretty talented, don't deny your greatness. :)

Ooooooh! It's so beautiful! And thank you for being so gracious about my cheque-writing-brain-cramp. Madame Knitzoria sees a grande white mocha in your future...

But wait, I see more delicious hand-dyed... It appears there will also have be yet another cheque in your future (and more yummy yarn in mine -mwahahahahaaaaaa!)

p.s. a crab-stitching lesson would be lovely too!

wow, that's just beautiful yarn you're making there. If I wasn't selling off most of my stash right now, I'd definitely be shopping! :)
