This year’s Christmas tree is WEE.
Our first Christmas in our house is marked by the lack of an actual tree. When I say actual, I am referring to the fake department store variety, the tree of my preference. Instead, we have an actual tree. My mom felt sorry for us so she and my sister bought us this cute little thing. Good thing it came with decorations (we won’t discuss the fact that they’re GLUED ON to a LIVE PLANT) because I didn’t have any of those either and couldn’t spare the $$ to buy any. When it gets warm we’ll plant it outside in the garden somewhere.

Decent, and most importantly, CLEAN
Now that I’ve shown you our tree, have a look at my toilet. I mentioned before that I had a little plunging accident and my toilet overflowed a couple of days ago. That night Jeremy pulled out all the foul and ancient carpet. Yesterday he picked up a piece of cheap vinyl flooring at Home Depot. $26 and hours of scrubbing, pulling out staples and loose bits of lino gave us a clean, acceptable floor in the WC. For a temporary fix it’s fantastic. We’re not bothering with quarter-round or trim since we’re going to renovate the whole room relatively soon, but even with the vinyl just stapled down like this, it’s actually better than it was before.
Happy Holidays, everyone!

Considering what happened the bathroom looks great. When it’s time to take all the old floor up try a hairdryer and a wide spackle knife. I’ve had great luck with that combo.

You guys are CRAZY FAST with the home deco/reno projects. Holy cow. You make me feel so lazy. I think I’ll go reupholster my refridgerator or somethng! :)
